A little about us

  • G&M Event Group is a leading event entertainment and lighting design company, servicing hundreds of events each year.
  • Our focus is primarily in the wedding market, however we do service other private events, school events and corporate clients.
  • G&M Event Group have won the Workforce Guardian Workplace of the Year at the Optus My Business Awards, and continue to win multiple industry related awards for service and performance, at both state and national levels, every year since 2012.

Who we're looking for

Event DJs / Entertainers

We’re looking to expand our current team to cope with demand and would love to talk to people who are keen to learn and be a part of a quality team of entertainers. In this role you will:

  • DJ at weddings and other events
  • Play music and have fun
  • Get paid training to improve your DJ skills
  • Be coached and mentored by some of Australia’s best Event DJs and MCs
  • Be provided with all the high quality equipment required
  • Deliver first class customer service
  • Work with clients to create fun events
  • Prepare playlists based on clients recommended selections
  • Set up quality PA equipment and lighting
  • Be a part of a multi award winning entertainment company
  • Previous experience is welcomed, however not a requirement.
  • Some of the key things you’ll need to have before you apply are:
  • A fun outgoing personality
  • Love of music
  • Knowledge of music from across the decades and different genresAvailability to work most nights, especially weekends
  • Your own suitable transport (at least a 4 door hatchback required to fit equipment)
  • A drivers licence
  • Fantastic presentation
  • Confidence
  • Ability to work independently and also with a team
  • Amazing customer service skillsA high degree of Awesome-ness

You will also need to be willing to undergo training in order to take on this position. Training will occur at events and in our office with our experienced DJs and Entertainers.

You do not need to have your own equipment as we supply you with equipment and music.

Casual Audio/Visual Technician

We are looking to grow our Corporate Event AV Team. Tasks include setting up equipment at events, operating equipment from Audio mixers, Lighting systems, Staging, Speakers, camera equipment, TV Screens, LED Wall and more. You don’t need to have experience in all areas, however you must be willing to learn.

Our team operates 7 days per week, so events can be any day of the week, but mostly Monday to Friday and mostly during the day. Some weekend work is also possible. The role will need you to work late nights and sometimes long shifts.

Requirements:

  • Physical fitness and strength conditioned to handle labour-intensive tasks
  • Great presentation
  • Attention and care to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively both individually and as part of a team at a high pace. Must be driven by getting stuff done.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills especially when dealing with clients and fellow team members
  • Some AV Experience is beneficial, so please outline this on your application.
  • Generally an awesome person
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Open Manual Drivers Licence and Clean driving record (not essential, but preferred)
  • Your own car/transport

Bonus points if you posses the following:

  • Demonstrated and proven experience in Event &/or Venue Operations ‘hands on’ roles i.e. stagehand, rigger, AV tech, event warehousing, etc.

Event Support Crew

We are looking to grow our event support team. Tasks include setting up equipment at events, operating some basic equipment, pack ups, deliveries etc. No previous experience is required as we will train you on how to do everything.

Our team work mostly on weekends, with some events also during the week. It’s mainly Friday, Saturday and Sunday that we need new team members for. The role will need you to work late nights and sometimes long shifts.

Requirements:
