Aleisha & Terry’s Preston Peak Wines Wedding
Toowoomba Wedding DJ Hire | #GMDifference
I had the pleasure of helping Aleisha & Terry plan and celebrate their wedding day at Preston Peak Winery in Toowoomba. From our very first planning meeting I felt so comfortable around Aleisha & Terry, they were both laid back, authentic and fun. All they wanted was a beautiful day starting with tying the knot in front of friends and family and ending with an open bar and plenty of dancing. I think they came to see the right guy.
We had our first meeting over a coffee at Victoria Park Golf Complex where I met with Aleisha, Terry, and their chosen MC Corey, a long time friend of Terry’s. As a side note, we LOVE it when you bring your MCs along to planning meetings, there is so much for us to chat about to ensure that things run smoothly and having some time dedicated to nailing down those details goes a long way!
We talked about everything, from the order and flow of formalities to song preferences to advice around where my DJ booth should be set up and of course plenty of laughing and joking in between.
Even though your wedding is seriously important, I promise you that we will still have fun planning it.
Aleisha & Terry decided to have a custom audio edit for their bridal waltz. They came over to my place and I recorded each of them individually while the other person was in a separate room. I then took the things they had said about each other and seamlessly inserted them in to their bridal waltz music at appropriate moments. They wouldn’t hear the final product until they were up there on the dance floor… How cool is that! (I think a dry wind just blew through my office because for some reason my eyes are watering).
The day of the wedding came and when I first saw Aleisha & Terry they were walking up the driveway at Preston Peak, surrounded by green lawns, laughing and smiling with their bridal party and photographer. After their personalised bridal waltz I threw down a set heavy with dance classics and sing-alongs to help get the boys away from the bar and involved on the dance floor. We finished off their reception with a farewell circle to the sound of “Better Today” by Coffey Anderson, the perfect start to married life for two awesome people.
