Brooke & Chainey’s Customs House Wedding
Brisbane Wedding DJ Uplighting Dancing on a Cloud | #GMDifference
Brooke & Chainey booked me as the DJ for their wedding at the opulent Customs House, overlooking the Brisbane River. My planning process with them was slightly unusual, because they were doing their wedding planning from the Northern Territory! We spoke a few times over Skype and discussed music, timelines and more. They seemed like an awesome and down to earth couple and I was so excited to be helping them design their wedding reception. Their music tastes leaned towards country and rock, however Brooke and her friends also had a (not so) secret love of dance music, RnB & a little bit of top 40.
They decided to book in some extra effects to compliment the stunning “Long Room” at Customs House including Uplighting shining up the roof-high pillars and a “Dancing on a Cloud” effect for their First Dance. They also had some other fun additions to their wedding reception including an indoor tree behind their bridal table (check out the video!) as well as a hand drawn caricature of each of their guests to show them where their seat was.
After their first dance, guests danced the night away to a mixture of country rock, RnB & top 40 favourites. At around 11PM Brooke & Chainey made their way out of the reception through a magical sparkler archway provided by their guests to bring their celebration to a close.
Thanks Brooke & Chainey for choosing me (DJ Ben Shipway) to be a part of your wedding celebration!
